I had similar problems. There's something not quite right about the recent X11 packages from Apple. I ended up removing X11.app and the receipts in /Library/receipts and reinstalling X11 from the install disks, then Software Upgrade'ing them to get current.

But I agree with Andreas, that SGD works great as a client to SGD.
(Love the fact that Exposé understands the X11 windows and can spread them out)

X11 is not installed by default on Macs. If you have MacOSX 10.2 go to

newer MacOSX versions X11 is either downloadable from www.apple.com or
an optional package on the installation DVD.

We are using the SGD native client on Macs and it works real great!

Oh, Sorry... I forgot to mention in my last post,

I have downloaded the latest X11 Package from the apple.com site
and tried to install it. I get an error "You cannot install X11 on this
volume. Newer Software already exists on your computer."

I also downloaded the latest Update for X11 from the Apple Site
and tried to apply that instead...
and get the Error Message "This system does not need this update."

The OS is 10.4.8 with All updates to date.

Any Help/pointers ?

Best Regards
