In my opinion, if its a street car that you dont want your fillings ratteled
out, just get the solid radiator support mount and the rest with stock or HD
replacements.
If you thought these cars were rattle traps before, wait till you poly all of
em.. :)

Use the 525 transmission mount. The 523 mount won't fit your car as the frame
rails are much more narrow. You have to grind the 525 mount slightly to fit
the 523 transaxle. Its not a big deal and doesn't take very long. Test fit
the mount, then mark it and grind the offending metal off. Rin
Not much is written on the grinding because it is really stright forward.
If you have a 525 mount and try to put it on a later tranny it will be
very obvious what you need to do. It is onlya small amount of grinding
really 5 mins of work if you have a bench or angle grinder.

Hi all. Questions about putting an A523 into my GLHS.
1st
Motor mount. Transmission motor mount. Is the A523 mount different from the
A523 mount. Which one do I use? I've heard that "grinding" is required as

It sounds like you've got a short in the wiring someplace. Remove all of the
wiring for the starter up to the battery and go over it with a fine tooth comb.
Make sure that the ground on the transaxle is in place and that your battery
connections are in good shape and clean.
