Pump was a Mopar Hi-output, put in new for the first rebuild, so it only has
about 3000 miles on it.

Given how imprecise the stock gauges are, and how often the stock
senders fail, do yourself a favor and temporarily install a proper
(read:accurate) mechanical gauge on the engine. Then replace the
sender/switch
What are you running for oil? Most break ins should be run on good
non-synthetic oil
