As for reliability, check with Russ Jerome on TD.com, he's doing a hybrid in a Dakota, and he plans to drive the truck quite a bit, including towing. The conversion is essentially the same as the 16V head. Except that you have to build a completely new passenger mount as the cam gear fowls on the existing mount (the cam physically sits lower in the head than on the 8v 2.2 head) While the 16v head only needs to have a couple of clearance notche
