Hi All, Last night I was driving my GTC TII when I noticed the engine was making noise. Slight clattering. Then I noticed the oil light was on and the guage was way down. I couldn't believe I was that low on oil. It was down almost a quart. After adding some, the car seemed normal. While driving to work this morning, I saw the guage was down again and the engine was making noise again. You can hear it when you let off the gas. I checked the oil and it was fine. Drove away and had pressure again. A few minutes later, the guage was down again. If I shut it off, let it sit for a minute and restart, the pressure comes back. But only for a short time. It's not the guage because the car makes noise when the guage drops. Is this what an oil pump does when it goes bad? I've never had a bad one before. Thanks -- Bob Doherty Coon Rapids, MN.
