Hi all. Questions about putting an A523 into my GLHS. 1st Motor mount. Transmission motor mount. Is the A523 mount different from the A523 mount. Which one do I use? I've heard that grinding is required as well, but I've never found anymore information on this. 2nd Motor mounts. Which ones

Use the 525 transmission mount. The 523 mount won't fit your car as the frame rails are much more narrow. You have to grind the 525 mount slightly to fit the 523 transaxle. Its not a big deal and doesn't take very long. Test fit the mount, then mark it and grind the offending metal off.

In my opinion, if its a street car that you dont want your fillings ratteled out, just get the solid radiator support mount and the rest with stock or HD replacements. If you thought these cars were rattle traps before, wait till you poly all of em.. :) Chris Pauluk - Modesto CA 1984
