I came across the ad for the new UST Harmon shafts
offered by GS. In the advertising there was the statement that the particular
tip soft model would help draw the ball; apparently a tip stiff would help
correct a hook. Any truth to this claim? ED

Ed,
The common lore is that with a soft tip, the head will rack more closed
before impact and the stiffer tip will tend to not. This would
support that claim. It has been part of the fitting process for
some time. Of course, it all depends on where you start from,
with the original swing, but
Great to hear Tom is still in the component and equipment business.
Look forward to hearing more about his new business.

If you try any of that lure-painting powder, let me know how you do it.
Looks cheap and simple, but don't know how you'd dip a 450cc head in the powder
like a spinner or spoon. There is some high temp masking tape available, though
I can't remember where I saw it. The typical powder
Tom,
If you are already on the list to receive this, congratulations! I'm
anxious to see what you've come up with. Good luck!

Just looked at my original. It wasn't a jumpy finger at all, it was a light

the o when flying along at high speed (maybe 33 word/min).

Sounds great, but I hope my old farts can afford all that good stuff. :-)
And, I hope you'll have a 50-something gram long driver shaft for seniors.
Seniors are a growing market. The 59 gram, 48 SK Fiber PE-A is a pretty
well-made shaft and can be trimmed a couple of inches to get it around
Hey John,
Flattery won't get you a room with me in Orlando ; ) (IF i go that is!)
