Hi George, The ASTM standard tip weight is 205 grams. It's made out of 1" round bar stock (I use 12L14 because it's easy to work with). It's about 2.175" long and has a hole about .4" in diameter that is 1" deep. It does not have a through hole. I use a 1/2" thumb screw to clamp it to the shaft.

HI, I'm a machinist and am looking to make a 205 gram tip weight with a through hole. I'm thinking that I can adjust the weight and shaft length simultaneously to achieve the frequency desired. By doing this I feel that I can match the shaft to be replaced. So my question is...Does any
