Hi George,
The ASTM standard tip weight is 205 grams. It's made out of 1" round bar stock
(I use 12L14 because it's easy to work with). It's about 2.175" long and has a
hole about .4" in diameter that is 1" deep. It does not have a through hole. I
use a 1/2" thumb screw to clamp it to the shaft.
Some if not most of the time the "ball" will come out with the shaft although
some of the time I have to drill and punch out.
