An addendum to what Dave said about extensive tip trimming. Graphite shaft
tips are reinforced (greater wall thickness) some way up from the tip to
absorb some of the higher shear loads present near the shaft-hosel
joint. It is not always possible to tip trim the full length of the
parallel t
