Dear Ed:   I bend them all the time.  I use a Mitchell putter Loft/lie machine.  It comes with two types of bending tools.  You need to bend this at the hosel tip with a small bending bar or you can remove shaft from putter and bend hosel tip then put shaft back on putter.   John
