Re: ShopTalk: Apache PM30 shafts
I live in aOttawa, Ontario. Although
this winter was fairly easyin terms of snowfall, the first snow came
in November and the ground finally started to clear in late March.
The last ice melted off my driveway
Nope.. the first wife took up golf seriously and we

Ron,
All the Apache PM-30 iron sets which I've used (two for me and a couple for
others) have felt stiffer and played a little stiff. But, my two sets were the
original PM-30iwhich may have been modified some since 1997. Then, I was a
solid R with most shafts, so started with a raw 283 cpm

Hi
Ron,
Trimming to manufacturer's
specs is a bad idea. They are a
crapshoot at best. Use your Club Scout and forget about the builder trim
charts.
If you
are worried about them, make up a 5 iron to a small trim flex and try it.
That should give you a feel about how stiff

I got them from a part-time clubmaker down near Toronto who was holding a
garage sale of sorts. Most of the stuff he had was junk. He started at
$60, dropped to $40 then decided to take the $30 I offered just as I was
leaving to get in my car. I couldn't pass it up!
There is one guy who
We had a minor snowfall this week, nothing that stayed. Its going quick and
should be all gone in a couple of weeks. I have started hitting balls out of
my backyard. I went to Jacksonville for a week in March to get some golf in.
I'd like to get at it now though. Understand you guys had a nice
