Matts,
I read The Short Game Bible (by Dave Pelz) & took the Pelz Short game handicap test & ended up with a SGhcp of 28. (My USGA index at the time was a 13.5 and is now a 10.8)  At that point I figured out that this is where I need to look at improving my game and changing my set make-up.

I think the Tour Series are some of the best heads out there.  The Tour series beat out the Flying D's, Snake eyes, TW's, Team Dynacraft & a couple of the Golfworks designs (I just didn't like the hump back).  Where most of these heads failed for me was in the bounce category (most had way too much).

I like the minimal bounce on the 60° & 64°.  I put them together with Dynamic shafts & Winn grips.  They were built to "pelz" specs with the wedges getting softer as the loft increased.  I think this set-up has improved my up and down percentage around the green as the 64° gets the ball up high & fast and stops with minimal roll.

FWIW:  I used to be one of those that would say that a 60° wedge is the fastest way to add strokes around the green.  The 60 & 64° wedges are not my "go-to" clubs around the green.  The 64° wedge makes it possible to hit higher shots without opening up the face of the club and risk blading the ball 40 yards.

Hope this helps

JP

What do you think of the Tour series Wedges?

Just a bit curious.
