hi, i still see references to f77. you have start afresh. that means remove all the openmpi/mpich related files/directorie. then get ifort from the intel site. you could use gfortran also. and then compile openmpi/mpich. this will give you mpiifort/mpifort that is linked to gfortran or ifo
