gcc 2.95.2 is also very broken for c++. It doesn't support such fun
things as templated friend classes, namespaces, tail recursion, or the
proper implementation of the STL. gcc 3.0 brings it up to full ANSI C++
compliance. If you're doing any sort of real C++ coding and 3.0 or, even
better, 3.1 is
FWIW, I don't have this problem w/ gcc 2.95.2.
