ACM - First for the introductions, my name is Ryan Smith and I'm the current Vice President of IEEE Communications Society here at UT. Our group's primary academic focus is information assurance and computer/network security. We've been invited to participate in a Defcon style CTF match between several universities (currently UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, Georgia Tech and UT). The basic setup and more details can be found here: http://www.cs.ucsb.edu/~vigna/CTF It will be an all day event on Dec 5th, and there will be a fair amount of preparation. If this sounds like something that any ACM members would like to be involved with please let me know as soon as possible, so we can start formulating a plan.
