you probally won't have any problems, but you might get problems with
redundant files. i don't know about fedora/suse in particular but if you
try a fedora/gentoo combination you'll find that some files fedora put
under /usr/bin gentoo puts under /usr/games/bin. if you try to upgrade
you might find
