Yes, after learning about all those hassles, i am also considering to go
with PayPal first in the early days.
At least, until the market etc is proven, then, we might consider to switch
to eWay and other providers.

I have also been looking for a payment gateway solution but I'd rather
save the money I'd have to spend setting one up elsewhere so we use
PayPal. I guess it depends on the size of your transactions, mine are
between 29-49USD subscription a go so PayPal works well.
PayPal doesn't cost
