Hey Beachers,

StartSomeGood sponsored the screening of CAPITAL C, a documentary about
crowdfunding, at the Transitions Film Festival in Melbourne in March, and I
introduced it on the night. I hadn't actually seen the full film until then
and it was even better than I expected. A really funny, insightful and
poignant look at the entrepreneurial journey through the experience of
three ambitious crowdfunded projects. Also features interviews with Seth
Godin and a bunch of other marketing and startup legends.

At it's heart though it's about three people following their passion and
their purpose, and finding in crowdfunding an opportunity to make their
dreams come true.

The film hasn't, to my knowledge, screened in Sydney so I reached out to
the filmmakers and got the license to put one on. It's happening next *Monday,
August 22, at 107 Projects in Redfern*, and is also a fundraiser for a book
I'm contributing to.

If you're on the entrepreneurial journey I think it's impossible not to
resonate with the passion, frustration, setbacks and break-thru's in the
film, to be inspired by the entrepreneurs making it happen and to laugh
along with Zach in particular, the bottle koozie (stubby holder)
entrepreneur pictured below.

Hope to see some of you there!

Tickets are here.
