I found edge to be very slow and T-Mobile's coverage is spotty - not
even 200kbps. Also, the type of sim T-Mobile use makes cutting it down
a pain - I used a sim cutter and it still didn't work until I cut it
down further.
Next trip, I went with an AT&T prepaid (picked up off eBay) and that
worked
Agreed - recently got back from a couple of trips to SF - the optimism
and support is just incredible!

I have to agree with others here - hiring django developers is not
easy. But... the general python community is quite good and I don't
see why you can't tap into that community to find a solution.
