I moved down here to Canberra recently and it seemed that the startup scene was very fragmented. I've spent the last few weeks meeting lots of people in startups and the innovation space. There are some interesting things happening here and now a community growing. If you haven't tapped in yet, here are Canberra opportunities to connect:
Next Friday 20th at 7pm there is a casual drinks for Canberra Startups event organised by Paul Hayes. Its at The Uni Pub (downstairs). Monday 23rd 8:30am at bookplate Cafe National Library, open Coffee + 1-2-3 huddle There is also increasing traffic on the Canberra Startup google group, originally setup by Keith Lang from Skitch. If you want an invite, please let me know. Its also interesting reading through the early SB posts as Canberra is at a similar startup point. I'm looking forward to Canberra incorporating many of the lessons learnt by the Beach community and early pioneers. A more entrepreneurial Canberra is to the benefit of us all.
