Hi everyone, Cofounder Speed Date and AngelCube have partnered up to bring the event to Melbourne on Sunday the 18th March. The aim is to pair up tech and business founders who want to work on startups together.
If you've got a startup and are looking for a cofounder, this event is for you. If you're looking for a startup to join, but don't have any ideas yourself, this event is also for you. Tickets are $20 and are available at http://cofounderspeeddate.com.au/ Please be advised, we were overbooked last time and had to turn some people away, so don't wait until the last minute to get tickets sorted. The event includes beer and pizza and a guest speaker from the Melbourne tech startup community. Niki Scevak of Startmate and Homethinking was the guest speaker at the last event, and we'd like to get someone along of the same high calibre - any suggestions? Or volunteers? Here's what some previous attendees had to say: "I met 2-3 potential co-founders and another 3 people I want to keep in touch with." - Melanie Kansil http://boomvox.me/ "I attended some of those in Silicon Valley but this is even better." - Greg Kowalski http://www.biko.com.au/ I know there's a lot of interest in this, given the activity in some other threads recently. Are there any developer/tech message boards or mailing lists in Melbourne that we should be tapping into? And are there any guests speakers people would really love to see at the event? Don't be afraid to self-nominate - there are some pretty amazing people in this group.
