I'd like to echo that sentiment. While I didn't make it to the Maps day, having people like Don Dodge, Eric Bidelman (Mr Chrome if you haven't heard of him) and Patrick Chanezon (well worth knowing, http://www.chanezon.com/pat/cv/) in Australia at all, much less super accessible is a very big deal.
