Dan, I will speak to oils and some Chinese medicine perspectives as that is part of my training. Oils are like cars. There are many models and qualities - 4 cylinder, 6, 8, 12 etc. All function on some level. The power workhorses can take one into deep terrain like 4 wheel drives, Hummers, etc.
