You may have, already, informed yourself of the possible benefits of using Alpha Lipoic Acid and Acetyl-L Carnitine as a supporting protocol for the challenges of antitrypsin deficiency presentations. If not, I suggest you investigate their ancillary support....for your Experimental Researches. Alpha Lipoic Acid has demonstrated unusually powerful benefits to the liver----in addressing a myriad of very serious insults. ALA would, in our opinion, justify an in-depth trial (it can only generate benefit and in least-worth evaluations....render a neutral response)..... at least that is our opinion.
Do understand, we have conducted NO direct evaluations of such a protocol for the specific address of Antitrypsin deficiency, but do believe that logic, alone, would dictate consideration of such a support protocol consideration.....especially in view of the almost total absence of other acceptable, repeatable, success modalities (at least to our knowledge).
Both of these substances are, in their own right.....independent nutritional supports which are critical to general good health----and present no known side effects---toxic or otherwise.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.

P.s. No single substance or modality which we have ever evaluated, has yielded the overall benefit to the liver....as has alpha lipoic acid. Our original evaluations (circa 1999) were prompted by the seminal studies/evaluations of Dr. Bert Berkson's astonishing results through using high-dosage ALA to save the lives of persons suffering from poisonous Amanita mushroom ingestion----an insult from which approximately 90% of the victims, routinely, experienced agonizing physical pains......followed, inexorably, by death. Dr. Berkson did not lose ONE SINGLE PATIENT from among a population of 20 (over a 12 year span)----to which he administered 1500 to 2000 mg, daily, via IV medium. ALA LITERALLY SAVED the livers from complete functional disintegration, among a majority of these victims "in a matter of hours" after the first IV. Incidentally, only very recently has the allopathic medical community given Dr. Berkson even the slightest note for his splendid contributio! n in this area of research. For what it is worth, Dr. Berkson is one of my personal heroes......along with Russell Blaylock and Stanley Jacob.
Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.

Sorry, this off topic as far as silver goes but I know there are some very

knowledgeable people on this list. As some of you know, I've been far from

well lately and now, on top of everything else, I've been diagnosed with an

Alpha-1- antitrypsin deficiency. I know this is genetic but just wonderd if

any of you knew anything about it.

I mean, obviously, I've googled it and read up what I can but I wondered if

there was any natural supplements or anything I could take to help.

Cheers

Kirsteen
