Fine sublimated SULFUR Dust/Powder, a.k.a. FLOWERS-of-SULFUR... has been used over the years, to lightly-dust onto dry-skin and into-socks, before going in wooded area. It keeps Ticks, Fleas, Chiggers, etc. from biting/attaching to Humans and/or Dogs, etc.? Sulfur/(Brim Stone), has long historical record around world as being SAFE, insecticide! It works better than any commercial product that I have ever tried. Go to your local pharmacy and ask for either sulfur powder or "flowers of sulfur". It is over the counter, but often is kept behind the counter. Put the powder in a large holed salt, pepper, or Parmesan cheese shaker. Military men will sometimes pour it into a sock and use it as a powder puff. One inexpensive bottle can last a family of four for more than a year. Put on as you would talcum powder. GARDEN variety SULFUR sold in 50-lb bag, is much courser, than Flowers-of-Sulfur and more costly than the 50-lb GARDEN variety GRANULE-SULFUR, try using BOTH ways?
