It is a fact that one's body chemistry and other attributes can make things more or less toxic, and more or less therapeutic. Also research on argyria using silver salts has shown that some people are much more likely to get it than others. There are some differences that seem to be significant, such as a deficiency in selenium and/or vitamin E. Whether there are other factors is not known as far as I can tell.
