Dear Marlene,

> DH is 46. He has not had toenail fungus....just terrible cracking
and
> bleeding on the bottoms of his feet.

Now you say white socks - made from synthetic or cotton?

Something is stripping his feet of oil. There may be something in
his shoes, or he may have an allergy to the soap you use or the shower
cleaner. Rubber or something esle in direct contact in his footwear?

Tea tree oil massaged into the areas where cracks occur should help
the area heal more quickly [- don't wear whites socks for this - but
definitely cotton- ] and give pain relief. [Melaleuca alternifolia
oil - antiseptic, healing, soothing.]

Now consider what is going into his body -

1. Is he eating fish like sardines in oil?

2. Is he eating butter? Olive oil?

3. What about Vit C intake - shortage of this too promotes cracks in
areas with less supply of blood ?

4. Does he include nuts in his diet? [zinc in many as well as oil]

5. Is he eating bananas [potassium] - one a day.

Add each of the above to his daily diet and expect to see an
improvement in 4-6 weeks - his feet didn't get that way quickly - they
need time to recover nutritionally.

You know our food must be eaten with specific combinations so one item
is absorbed, another must be present. And you need VIt D from direct
sunlight.

Is this problem worse in winter or summer? What about bare feet now
and again? Is he a heavy salt user?

You know socks have this terrible constriction in them - a cosmetic
one - boa constrictor type elastic to cut off the circulation to the
foot while "holding your sock up"! Consider scissors and an attack on
the shin-indenting monsters! Falling socks hurt less than cracked
feet....

Something is stripping oil from his body, or he has a serious shortage
of it. Increased oil in his diet should be safe unless he is a high
cholesterol risk - then it has to be rubbed in.

Regards,
Judith.
