Hi Darcie; Dandelions tend to do that at night. (gosh you must be in a warm spot to have a dandelion at this time of year) You might have better results filling the hollow stem. Now with Delphiniums have hollow stems, you would tip the stem to 45 degrees and slowly add water along the edge to
