If that explanation is true, I doubt it will affect bacteria that
cause pimples becaue they reside on the skin as opposed to the blood.
I think most important role of thyroid is regulating metabolism. When
metabolism is fine, all other systems, including the immune system,
work better.

The idea that the thyroid 'only' regulates metabolism seems to be an
