This message below reminds me of what my dau's dad used to say things like to
her when she was uner 12.yrs
At 51/2 yrs;; He used to say. "Well, are you ready to go do our Christmas
SHOPLIFTING" when we were going shopping for Xmas. So I and my parents took
Elaine and went to a dept store. Dad took Elaine away from us to look at some
toys etc. A clerk came and asked if she could help him with anyhting. Lo and
behold, Elaine pops up and says' " No, we are just going our Xams shoplifting".
Boy did we all have to do some fast explaining and there were clerks watching
our every move so we left the store. Boy did her dad get his chewing out but
good.
Also we went to my granparents and stayed a few days. Granma ( Elaine's GRT
grnama, asked Elaine how she liked her eggs cooked. Elaine quickly replied/
" Granma , I like mine fried on edge"
He dad always told her he liked his fried on end so Elaine gets it mixed up
and says edge. My Granpa laughed till he hurt and he seldonm cracked a smile>
Just had to tell this. Yes I am drinking a big glass of CS with half
gatorade. Great to help get more water down.

I agree, great story and I am sure, based in reality. But, I like to pass
on these types of stories to my non-cs-believing
friends and they jump on any inaccuracies, as my M.D. friend did. I had
ptomaine once and looking back, sure could have
used cs if it had been available.

I think the problem is that what they were poisoned with was NOT
botulism. I have no doubt of that, botulism cannot even grow in meat that is
not totally sealed from the air, and would almost certainly caused very quick
death. What they got was almost certainly salmonella, or ptomaine poisoning. I
have found these respond very nicely to CS.

But that doesn't diminish the impact of the story.

How can you sate "You need to get your head out of your ass"and then "
Bless you, Bob Lee", they don't seem to go together.I sent your story to a
doctor (M.D.) friend who believes in alternativemeans for health and healing
and he stated "These guys have no clue about botulism....check this out"?Ane HE
sent me the medical page link to botulism. Did you check out the link? Are you
calling thatinformation page BS?At my age, and in accordance with my personal
belief system ( I don't judge), I wouldn't dare to callanyone, let alone an ex-
Navy seal, a liar unless both of my Special Ops son-in-laws were nearby to
protect me (joke).Sorry, didn't mean to offend.John
