I hope Steve will see the comments and be motivated to examine the topic further. There is a serious difference between using gene splicing technology and traditional (and safe) hybridization methods, both in the stability and safety of the results and in the outcomes being designed for. I have yet to hear anything convincing to counter the widespread condemnation of terminator seeds and roundup ready crops, to name two of the technologies at issue, that seems to be found everywhere except in corporate media and government sources. I'm open to being influenced, but I start from a position of being fairly concerned about it.
