A couple of tablespoons of Alum [used to make pickles crisp] will
flocculate the sediment in a well, clarifying the water, reducing what iron
bacteria [slime] grows on.
A little swimming pool water clarifier [ walmart] does it too and once
clarified, stays that way for a long time.

Sorry. The well bacteria fix. I may have misled someone. This well
cleaner works with the relationship of Silver with Copper Electrolysis.
In water a little silver and copper are eaten away with time where the
two metals touch together and is released in the water. Both metals are
antibacterial
In 2001 I made a bacteria killer for my well. It is real simple and this
is how to did it. I took 40 1oz bullion coins tied to some copper
tubing. It was 10 ' long. I reasentley pulled it out of the well and put
the bullion closer together. It is now 40" long with 40 coins in double

Usually a well is shocked with chlorox, pumped for a while and then tested.
The well cap should provide a seal that keeps bugs out also. If there is still
bacteria present, I might abandon it. The alternative may be looking for the
source. Sometimes a septic system can drain to underground rock for
