Not a concern. I've been doing this since I started making/using CS ('94 or
'95) and see

Just be careful and don't leave the garlic on too long, that is, if you
are talking about putting a piece of raw garlic on it.
I tried that, and didn't know how long to leave it, so after 24 hours I
had a big raw hole in my flesh, still have the scar, too.
