Hi Nancy; All the transformers I have taken apart only have a
single diode so you are using pulsed low volt DC (PLVDC). 60 pulses
per sec. A full wave bridge gives 120 pulses per sec. I have been using
PLVDC with good results. Have been trying pulsed high volt dc (PHVDC)
