The black is from CS drying on the lid. Without the water, silver ions cannot exist and oxidize into silver oxides which are generally black in color.
Not a problem..and very hard to remove.

I have actually had mold form on the inside of the lid. Has anyone else had

Not me. And I have used the same storage container for years now. Never
rinse or wash the lid or the container either.
