I got some DMSO yesterday. Each of three bottles, the DMSO is hard and crystalized. This happened once before from the supplier, one of three in this state. The one of three bottles never did return to liquid, I threw it away in time. Even after allowing the DSMO to warm to room temperature,

DMSO supercools very easily (gets hard and crystalizes). I had some out in my summer kitchen and I think it was somewhere around 50 degrees F. Rewarming it slowly at room temperture should get it to liquify again. Mine took about 24 hrs to completely melt. On Thu, 02 May 2002 07:41:43 -0400
