If it's too big to get 'in'..it doesn't need to get 'out'.
Silver BBs are quite harmless...but they don't do much other than go
'plink' in the morning.

Of course, I still use a filter for coffee :-) . But I prefer not to
filter my EIS. When I pour it out of the brew jar, I sometimes leave the
larger bits of silver behind in
I have always used coral calcium water to make my CS. The coral calcium is
in the water and it comes that way. It has a high ph. You say to put things
in afterward to raise the ph.
Is this dangerous?

The only thing that should be used to make EIS is pure distilled water.
Save your coral calcium water for drinking. I don't know what all is in
your calcium water so can't say as to danger or not, but when making EIS
I want it pure.
my two cents

Without any thing to measure except the naked eye, how would you know
that you have plating, or large particles, rendering it useless?

Thanks, NenahI'm getting some large particles, floating, but the
CS is clear and measuring approx. 30-35 ppm, using Vs Godzilla unit-
maybe I've been leaving it turned up too high- something like 5 ma + (
don't know the voltage, etc.)

Maybe I'm getting a mix of sizes of particles. The small ones go through
the coffee filter. Actually, I'm basing my guesstimate of ppm on use
of the conductivity meter , which reads approx. 66.
