I don't know about the operating systems used by the other simulators
but MPE V (used by the HP3000 simulator) is not Y2K compliant.

I am using the following in my script which works fine:

The details displayed by the show command for the DSn and MSn devices
are similar.
For example:
DS0 7575KW, not attached, 7905
heads unloaded, format disabled, unprotected
MS0 not attached, 7970E, unlimited capacity
offline, write ring, SIMH format

Is it possible to attach a network printer to a SimH line printer device
on Linux?
At the moment I am having to do the following:
1) attach -n lp filename1
2) run the program that generates printed output
3) attach -n lp filename2
4) !lpr filename1
Would be nice to just run the program
