Hi,
I have seen two
differnet approaches to solve this:
1. Send a re-Invite with "0.0.0.0" as the IP address in the sdp data
2. Send a re-Invite with the parameter a=sendonly set in the sdp data
I agree with jacob. It's better to search in google, you will find some other
approaches.

Hi All,
Thank you for your responses.
Since usage of 481 as per RFC 3261 seems to have its cons, is it
correct to interpret that the CANCEL with incorrect CSeq number is a
request that attempts to cancel a non-INVITE transaction? In case such
an interpretation is correct, can a 405 response be se

Is the call flow for Music on hold and normal Hold the same from a UA's
point of view? Or are there any extra steps the UA-A has to do in the Music
on Hold scenario so that the media server plays music to the UA-B ?

Hi Varun
SIP follows the semantics of HTTP based basic and digest authentication
schemes defined in RFC 2617. For SIP specific headers and procedures,
refer to RFC 3261.

Hi,
When a SIP UA sends an Invite with Authorization credentials( username and
password) to Proxy, how does the proxy authenticate the username/password, I
mean how does the proxy know if it wants to allow that particular user to make
a call.
Appreciate your response.
Thanks

Section 9.2 of RFC3261 answers this question
If the UAS did not find a matching transaction for the CANCEL
according to the procedure above, it SHOULD respond to the CANCEL
with a 481 (Call Leg/Transaction Does Not Exist).

Hi,
The following clarification is needed regarding processing of a CANCEL
message at UAS end:
When the CANCEL request contains a CSeq number that is not the same as
the INVITE request it is trying to cancel, what is the appropriate
error message to be sent to the UAC?
Kindly provide your views.
Padmaja,
I think you should read more of the RFCs and do a bit of googling for the
thousands of examples on the web, before you post your questions. The one you
mentioned is very elementary. A simple google for "SIP music on hold" will give
you your answers.
