Subject: [Sip-implementors] Query regarding SDP attribute in a Call
HoldResume Scenario

Hi All

Consider the following scenario:

 1. Call connected between A and B.
 2. A holds the call with a=sendonly.
 3. B sends 200 ok with a=recvonly.
 4. B again holds the call with a=inactive.
 5. What should A send in 200 ok response (a=sendonly or a=inactive) ??
[Sunil: Inactive (refer offer answer RFC3264, INACTIVE offer can have
answer only as INACTIVE).]
 6. B resumes the call with a=recvonly.
 7. A sends 200 ok with a=sendonly.
 8. A again resumes the call with a=sendrecv.
 9. What should B send in 200 ok response (a=recvonly or a=sendrecv) ??
[Sunil: this depends upon if B is ready to stream media, if yes then it
will send "sendrecv" else it can respond back with "recvonly"]
