This almost always is a problem with DNS. Did you set up all of the SRV
records and A records as specified in the DNS advisor? Are your Windows
2003 DNS server permissions set to allow queries from the secondary server?

Good Day,
I have been trying to cluster a couple of SIPX servers (4.0.2); but having the
same issue over and over again. I am wondering if anyone can point me to the
right direction,
I am using an external windows 2003 server as my DNS. My master SIPX server is

My provider PRI is NI2, is the audiocodes a problem?

AudioCodes is supported and really easy to setup with sipx.

I have had 3 Power supplies die on my AudioCodes MK1. I am on my forth.
Support is not good. Cannot deal directly with AudioCodes and have to deal
with reseller and 3 weeks support. If you go with AudioCodes, I would
strongly suggest having a backup and getting Next Business Day support.
On Sat,
Its not asterisk. You don't really expect all software packages to have the
exact same functionality.
The bit about exposing the functionality through sipxconfig is a primary
goal of the project (wiki).
The beautiful thing about software and open source is that you have a choice
you can exercise.
So if I get rid of this blasted vegastream, how hard is it to get a mediant
2000 online real fast since I've never used one yet. In other words, would
there be anyone here that might be able to help me get it online to replace
this thing?
Thanks.

I understand what you're saying but I can't agree to all of what you said :).
Outgoing server name, URL's, reply to address, look of such a form/email,
those things should be a given.

I just tried to do a yum update and found that I couldn't
because it failed to find any repos for 5.2. I remember that there was a

that it had bit me until now.

I forgot to mention I had sent profiles several times before over a
period of several months on all the sipX components in an attempt to fix
the previous problems, to no avail. What essentially fixed the issue was
clearing out and re-entering all of the intranet information in

I used the ISO to install so guess I'd have to download all of the source? I
can't believe it's this much work just to change a few small things that
should never have been hard coded.
Is there anyone who might already have the code who could make these changes
for me perhaps?

I too can't wait for 4.2's new voice mail system.. I have one extension
that the mailbox needed customization. The rest of the mailboxes needed
to use the default template.
I was able to get it working by first setting up the personal

Audiocodes work well enough but support is horrible! I can not stress how bad
support is.
Audiocodes has no advanced replacement support and you must work through your
reseller/distrubtor for support. You can not call them directly.

If I were you I'd choose it just because it's damn close to my last
name.
Kidding aside... Technical support is the biggie. Flexibility of the
unit is another.
