I forgot to include that the self signed crt looks different then the one
godaddy hands out.
The docs say to use the apache version, which I have but the self signed crt
files have information before the
BEGIN CERTIFICATE and END CERTIFICATE section itself.

Found it. Just edit the /usr/bin/ssl-cert/gen-ssl-keys.sh where it states the
bit size.

i figured it out. the SSL must have the server name in it.. whether you use
a local CA or a Paid SSL you must have the UM role assigned to an SSL with
the name of the server in it. Basically it won't send emails to itself
becuase the SSL is messed up. So what i am going to do since this is a

What version of sipXecs are you using? What kind of phone / firmware
revision.

i have setup Exchange UM for voicemail
when someone leaves a message no voicemail is left.
i don't know if this is SipX or an Exchange configuration issue... after
leaving a test message i log in to check it and there is no voicemail there
i can listen to emails and all that jazz but no voicemai

You'll have to add it as an unmanaged gateway and manually configure it.
