A question to those of you that were having stuck parking slot problems
in 4.0.x: are you still experiencing stuck park queues? If so, is it
more or less frequent or about the same? Just wanting to know what to
expect when I upgrade.
Thanks.

I know Audiocodes gateways/ATA's have v.21-v.34 modem relay built in but
I've never had an opportunity to test it before. perhaps I'll set up and
play with it soon and post success/fail results.

I don't know if it matters, I've never seen a modem call work worth a
hoot. Either get thee a CC terminal with Ethernet (yes they have them,
but they do fallback to modem as backup if the Internet is down) or
use a POTS line.

Yes, we are using v4.2.
I familiar with Freeswitch. I've been trying to understand how sipX is
integrating with Freeswitch for things like MoH. I've found the FS directory
in /etc/sipxpbx, but don't know how it's getting referenced within sipX.

Are you using SIPXecs 4.2?
Doesn't the Freeswitch Voicemail implementation in SIPXecs 4.2 store all
prompts in various codec formats (rather than transcoding them on the fly)?

Yes, if you starting swapping out RAM or have prolonged periods of CPU
usage it would be cause for concern.
What you are seeing is classified as "normal". A long, long time ago,

As a general rule, Linux will allocate *all* of memory. Among other uses, it

It's a common mistake for people to think that they don't need DNS servers

important facet of the installation, and the most misunderstood part of the

Not a dumb question at all.
It isn't my choice here. The main app the company uses is proprietary
and integrates tightly with Rightfax. Rightfax is a PITA to configure

True, but there are music files encoded specifically for 729. Problem is,

We now have SuSe builds working fairly well and I invite people to begin
testing and let me know if you find any issues. Initial test look good but
have not tested all the features.

You will need to ensure your SPI and/or ALG is off on your remote
firewall and that your firewall local to sipx is setup properly.

You need the SIP SRV records in the public DNS in order to register.
Hostname only gets you so far. SIP SRV records define more than just
the hostname. Please add them.
