Hi
Just noticed in the 4.4 testplan,
(https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AuPpSsuc5u0RdHRLajBmUThJQTlqSENaM1FIX1B0RGc&hl=en&authkey=CO38sJEK),
that this ACK/GRUU bug (X-8834) is noted with "Cannot duplicate". I thought we
were on top of the problem and the fix that was needed? Is there any
Its changing the media ports too.
You don't put a SBC behind a firewall AND an ALG in fron of the SBC. This is
precisely what you are asking.
So use a firewall with SBC capabilities and let it handle trunking and
remote users (ingate, acme, Karoo Bridge, etc.) Or use a firewall capable of
limitin
Is the only issue with ALG rewring of sip message headers as it comes
in through firewall?

Because it interferes with the media relay for remote workers in sipxecs.

Actually, it does have dos protection. However, it is not based on
limiting connections rather on limiting bandwidth and priority.
BTW... what is the reason why something like ALG can not work with sipx?

If your fortigate does not have a dos protection mechanism (it does not need
sip alg enabled to do this, as DOS protection is a firewall function), you
should investigate upgrading the device to get that module or replacing it.
Basic DOS protection in fortigate should be self sensing/aware, and ab
Most firewalls will allow rate limiting by connections per second. Consider

My firewall could do this, but it would require me to use ALG. I
thought we are not to use ALG.

(Yes, but you need a phone with a meaningful display and the polycom
productivity license).
OR
It is almost trivial to create your own webpage with the numbers. If there
are enough ldap users, it is relatively simple enough to create your own
click to call.
Others have done this, including photo

That is correct. Many phones like polycom support ldap directly for
phonebooks. Which phone are you referring to?
___
No. Not directly.
Phonebooks can be imported from csv files only. So if you export the AD book
and make sure it is in the proper format:
Contacts for users can be added by listing Members Groups.
External contacts can be uploaded through CSV or VCARD files.
Created phonebook is visible on the use
Is it possible to import a phonebook from AD catalog? If yes, where
is stored on sipx server server and how is propagated to the phone?
Thanks in advance
