Microsoft has been doing strange things to their interop with exchange 2010
on all fronts lately. I never got IMAP sync working with 2010 and they've
recently broken their SIP signalling for exchange UM integration with
Exchange 2010 SP1.

does your imap implementation support SEARCHES in a query?

i was thinking of something on that line... something where you have a
similar to phone groups ... and then you create an EFK group... paste your
EFK config into a text box... and save it
then add that EFK group to a Phone --- obviously only polycom phones... once
applied to that phone it uses tha
you can define the EFK filename in a group and have multiple cfg files in
your upload already.
what you are suggesting is simply an EDUT button to copy/paste the text
into? does anyone know if the java editor can accodmodate the finickiness of
the syntax for efk (spaces/tabs out of place result in
i actually really like how parking works now with this setup... i am hoping
something similar is available if they move the parking lot

I think even with efk call parking still needs to move to the FreeSWITCH
media server. it will undergo changes over time. the evolution should lead
to a more stable and predictable park service where efk is not necessary to
ensure stability.

i think it would be nice to have EFK groups and also an EFK config page...
somehow
basically i think it would be great if we could create a new EFK group.. add
the EFK code to the web page... then assign phones to that group
this would allow for different EFK settings based on Group Policies
Just
softkey.feature.basicCallManagement.redundant="0"
this is where you get your redundant keys at... i do not have transfer on my
550 because there is a hard key.. but on the 450 there is no transfer hard
key so it exists on the screen... its up to you

i'll give you my entire EFK and SoftKey setup... i didn't loose any
important buttons.. but transfer was moved to page 2 of the screen... i had
to hit more.. but that is not a huge deal
you may want NewCall and EndCall... i did not so i disabled those
they are at the end
What model phones are you doing this on? I have 450s and EFKs have never worked
right for me. I always lose some important soft buttons.

by using an 8 it does not allow a redirect. 8 means no redirect, noroute,
just to voicemail. at the same time the old acd will be hopefully going
away.exchange does not like the refer to voicemail without the
noroutestatement.

i was only sharing this because before i had this... i didn't feel
comfortable that SipX could replace every PBX out there for my customers...
now i do
hopefully this will help with someone else that is beating there head on the
table thinking wow... SipX is fucking great... except for the shitty
i do not get the issue of transfer to voicemail with the 8 if the call does
not first come into the ACD Queue
if a call comes directly into a Hunt Group or Directly to an EXT and then i
blind transfer to 8ext it will work fine
like i said the only time it happens for me is when the call goes
Thanks for sharing. To those who know EFK already this might seem simple.
There are at least 4 ways to do call parks in an easier "user friendly"
manner. Which method you use generally is dictated by what the end users are
perhaps more accustomed to.

whether or not the call if blind or attended, the transfer type is still a
"REFER". I think it is well known exchange has issues with this in general.
There is a JIRA for this.

i have been using sipx and finally thought of a decent way to have call
parking setup for easy use for everyone at a company
Lets say you have extensions in the 200-299 range
I will then setup all call parking lots at 1200-1299
Each Call Parking lot is setup to associated to that users extension..
Just wanted to give your guys a heads up on an issue i found
if a call comes into an AA -> which then gets routed to a ACD Queue -> end
user picks up call and starts talking to the person who just called in
if you then blind transfer the call to someones voice mail directly it will
hand up on
he doesnt have a broadvox gateway. he has an unmanaged gateway that points
to his sbc. if he is supporting remote users he has 2 internal ip's on the
ingate, only one of which is for trunking, the other for remote users. it
would be easy enough to destroy the gateway and recreate it, then reassign
