Correct, I need IP auth. That would work ok in some cases but IP auth would be

As long as they use the standard Polycom SIP firmware you should be all set.
If you look in your configuration gui you'll see that the 4000, 5000, 6000
and 7000 are all listed.

My company is looking for a conference hardphone. IP7000 is probably oversized
for our needs and twice the price of IP5000.
As I could read, it seems Polycom introduced a new hardware version for IP5000
model. Could you confirm that a sipx 4.4 template would fit this polycom
revision?
