if you delete the sipx logs while the system is running, it will create the
files and continue logging, just that the expectation is not the same with
freeswitch, because it uses it own logging mechanism (i.e., log4j is not
used for FS)... i would suspect this is a question and/or enhancement for F

Thanks for the update.. I'm not expecting the logs to recreate
where it left off ...I'm expecting the freeswitch.log file itself should
be generated but its not happening..
Scenario:
1.cd /var/log/sipxpbx
2.rm -rf freeswitch.log
3.calling 100 or 101 or OpenAcd
