I have a new system that I am configuring. At the moment I have 5
Polycom 650s connected to a sipX 4.0 box, all on the same private
subnet. All sipX components including the conference server are on the
same box. I am connected to Voip.ms through sipXbridge.

I am testing a conference room and am experiencing an annoying audio
problem. Here's the scenario: I am connected to a conference room from
one of the Polycoms with an other person connected from the PSTN. It
sounds like the conference server is only transmitting the audio from
the PSTN user while she is talking, but it cuts off the leading edge
of what she says. When she's not talking, it sounds like the call was
dropped. This happens even if she briefly pauses in the middle of a
sentence. She does not experience the same thing when I talk. I then
called into the conference room from the PSTN from my cell phone, and
we were able to converse normally.

I experience the same issue between two Polycoms connected to the
conference server, although it is less noticeable. I only experience
this through the conference server (i.e. when calling from a Polycom
directly to a PSTN line or to another Polycom, there is no problem.

Next I connected to the conference room from a softphone (X-Lite)
connected to the same subnet as the Polycoms and sipX box, with
another user connected from the PSTN. I experienced the same audio
problem on X-Lite as I did on the Polycoms.

I'm not sure what to do next in finding the problem here. Has anyone
else experienced this? All help is appreciated. Let me know if I need
to post any logs or config info.

Thank you,
