The critical thing is that the sipXecs host must see DNS records that map its
SIP domain to its *internal* address. Hosts outside the NAT should see DNS
records that map the SIP domain to the *external* address. This sort of DNS
configuration is commonly called "split DNS".

Sipxecs should run a caching only dns server or have access to one on its
private network that will resolve its records properly.
If it has a private IP address and resolves it's DNS "to itself" but gets a
public IP address, IT WILL NEVER WORK.
You are better off to reinstall and let it be its ow

The internal IP address (10.0.0.2) is specified in the server settings under
the Configure tab.
The public IP address (1.2.3.4) is specified in the server settings under
the NAT tab.
My
