I have never tried Fedora Core 4, so I can't give you a definitive
answer. Though somehow I don't think it has anything to do with lilo
(since you are getting login permission error).
You mentioned in another mail that you're having problems with your
keyboard - perhaps the key mappings are wrong

Did-you succeed to install a rhel4 with SI without using systemimager-3.5.2 or
the cvs version. Using lilo with a fedora core 4, I succeed to create an image,
even to boot but when I try to log in, it always fails, giving me :
login : permission denied.
